By booking in advance, groups can access a range of benefits including:
- Discounted rates on admission.
- Free parking (including coach or minibus).
- 1 complimentary admission ticket per group.
Before booking, please note:
- Groups visits are self-guided.
- There must be 10+ visitors purchasing an admission ticket to classify as a group.
- Group tickets are for day admission only and do not include an annual ticket.
- If a member of the group has an annual ticket, they must make a separate booking using their membership number.
- Charges must be paid as a group, we won’t be able to charge each member of the group individually.
- All members of the group must check-in at the same time.
- Tickets and deposit are non-refundable.
We have two group slots available per day. You can reserve a slot by making a deposit payment of 10 admission tickets.
Once you have made a booking, you can carry on adding tickets to your booking. All tickets must be booked and paid 3 working-days before the visit, to receive the discounted admission rate.
On the day of your visit, your group will be able to explore Jodrell Bank’s Pavilions, exhibitions, and grounds. You can also choose to add-on a Space Dome Show. If visiting on a weekday, we also have the option to add-on a presenter led Heritage Talk.

Group FAQs
Yes, groups are required to book in advance in order to benefit from the group rate.
Our group rates are available for groups between 10 – 55.
Bookings must be made through our website. Please scroll up to book a visit.
Our booking system will guide you through the process so that you can:
- Choose your visit date and arrival time.
- Select the ticket quantity required. If you don’t wish to pay for the whole group straight away, you can pay a deposit which will reserve the date and arrival slot.
- Add on an optional Dome Show for your group to enjoy, or a Heritage Talk if you are coming on a day when they are available.
You can reserve a date, by paying a non-refundable deposit payment equivalent to 10 admission tickets (the minimum required to classify as a group). You can later on add more tickets to your booking by clicking here and completing a form. You would then have up to 3-working days before the visit to confirm final group numbers and pay the remaining balance of your booking.
If you need to change the date of your booking you may do so if it is more than 30 days away. Please contact us via email at groupsjodrellbank@manchester.ac.uk and we will do our best to accommodate a change, subject to availability.
We regret that we are not able to reschedule your visit if it is less than 30 days away and tickets are non-refundable. Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement is a not-for-profit organisation; every booking is important to sustain our business so that we can continue to offer learning opportunities.
If cancelling a confirmed booking, we will be unable to refund any purchased tickets or deposit.
You can increase the number of tickets on your booking up to 3-working days before your visit. Please click here and complete a form. We will then send you a link to pay for the additional tickets.
Group tickets are non-refundable. If a member of the group does not attend the visit, this will be considered a no-show and no refund will be provided.
Jodrell Bank opens at 10am, please note, we are unable to allow your group on site before this time.
If you have booked a paid activity an your journey is delayed, you should contact us at 01477-571-766 and provide an estimated time of arrival. We will make every effort to accommodate any late arrivals, however this cannot be guaranteed. Please note, we do not offer refunds for any missed activities in whole or in part due to late arrival.
